Come join us in Raleigh, NC to learn about the latest developments in state environmental legislation.

Jennifer Mundt, Senior Legislative Analyst with the Research Division of the North Carolina General Assembly, and Erin Wynia, Legislative and Regulatory Issues Manager with the North Carolina League of Municipalities, will brief us on enacted environmental legislation and forecast issues that may come before the 2015 General Assembly when it convenes in January.

In the environmental arena, the General Assembly again focused much of its attention on regulatory reform during the 2014 legislative session. Ms. Mundt will discuss many of the issues addressed in recently enacted environmental legislation including: coal ash management; the status of hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling; water quality and wetlands policies; and topics of various ongoing studies. Ms. Wynia will comment on the enacted legislation and make predictions on what may be the hot environmental topics taken up in the upcoming legislative session.
