Staff of Moffatt & Nichol (John Dorney), Axiom Environmental (Sandy Smith), and the NC Department of Transportation (LeiLani Paugh) will conduct a 4-day course organized by the NC Association of Environmental Professionals (NC AEP) on the latest version (Version 5) of the North Carolina Wetland Assessment Method (NC WAM) for determining the condition of wetlands from September 13- 16, 2016 in the mountains of NC near Brevard, NC.  This lecture and field course will focus on the method which is the standard method formally adopted by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District in their Public Notice dated April 21, 2015. The authors were part of a multi-agency team of state and federal agencies who developed the method over the past several years and have previously taught this course using the same curriculum. The course will be taught at the Hampton Inn Brevard, at 275 Forest Gate Road, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. The fee for the course is $640 for members of the NCAEP and $665 for non-members and includes lecture and field instruction, a copy of the most current NC WAM User Manual, field transportation, field drinks and snacks, as well as field lunches. 

NCAEP members will receive a $25 discount and have exclusive registration access until 3 August.  Cancellations on or after 3 September will received a refund of the registration fee, less a $100 administrative fee.  Registrations after 6 September will be charged an additional $100.
